Ayushmann’s Badhaai Ho Crosses Milestone 100 Crores at the Box-office

There are two actors ( I mean actors) for whom this year- 2018 will be most remembered, one is the outstandingly versatile Radhika Apte and secondly Apte’s Andhadhun co-star – the most courageous actor of recent times – Ayushmann Khurrana.

The genius dark comedy Andhadhun which released in the first week of October was hailed as the “Best Film of the Year” by many. The Shriram Raghavan directed thriller, co-starring Tabu went on to make over a 60 crores at the domestic box office. Point to note is, Andhadhun had a tough competition from Salman Khan’s production Loveyatri starring his brother in law Aayush Sharma.

Now, Ayushmann’s quirky comedy ‘Badhaai Ho’, co-starring Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Surekha Sikri and Sheeba Chaddha has gone on to rake massive numbers at the box-office, winning hearts of the audiences.The film has crossed a milestone 100 Crores at the ticket counter inspite of Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor’s Namaste England released alongside.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that the movie crossed a 100 crores on its 17th day.

Badhaai Ho has become 10th film of the year to reach the milestone. Padmaavat, Sonu ki Tweety ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, Raazi, Race 3, Sanju, Gold and Stree have reached the mark earlier this year.

Its brilliant that small budget but content driven films like Alia Bhatt’s Raazi, Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree and now Badhaai Ho are raking in the moolah.
