The Indian bowlers caught the Windies batsmen by their neck as they could only manage 109-8 in their 20 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was the most impressive, picking up 3 wickets for only 13 runs in his quota of 4 overs. The debutants Khaleed Ahmed and Krunal Pandya picked up a wicket each giving 16 and 15 runs respectively. Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah too picked up a wicket.
No. 7 Fabian Allan was the top scorer for the Windies. He made 27 of 20 balls. Kieron Pollard and Shai Hope made 14 runs each and Keemo Paul remained unbeaten on 15 (13). Experienced Dinesh Ramdin and Dareen Bravo couldn’t score much. They made 2 and 5 respectively.

The Windies bowlers too scared the Indian batsmen. Oshane Thomas picked up 2 early wickets of Rohit Sharma 6 (6) and Shikhar Dhawan 3 (8). Youngster Rishabh Pant made just 1. KL Rahul 16 (22) and Manish Pandey 19 (24) couldn’t convert their starts. Finally it was upto the experience of Dinesh Karthik and the bravado of Krunal Pandya. Karthik made 31* (34) while Pandya smashed 21 of only 9 balls including 3 boundaries.
India won the match with 2.1 overs to spare and 5 wickets remaining and now lead the 3 match T20 series 1-0.
