Android 9.0 Pie Is Here, Check Out What’s New

The latest release of Android is here! And it comes with a heaping helping of artificial intelligence baked in to make your phone smarter, simpler and more tailored to you. Google officially introduced Android 9 Pie on Monday.

The final software is now available on Pixel phones and the Essential Phone today and coming to additional devices throughout this year and next year.

There are plenty of new features in Android Pie with design changes, helpful shortcuts, and a big focus on AI through adaptive settings. Google is trying to make your phone more personal, more efficient, and much simpler to use.

Here are some reasons you’ll want a piece of Pie :

1. Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness –

Android 9 aims to make your phone even smarter by learning from you and adapting to your usage patterns. That’s why Android 9 comes with features like Adaptive Battery, which learns the apps you use most and prioritizes battery for them, and Adaptive Brightness, which learns how you like to set the brightness in different settings, and does it for you

2. App Actions –

Android 9 also helps you get things done faster with App Actions, which predicts what you’ll want to do next based on your context and displays that action right on your phone.

3.Official Dark Mode –

Google has added an official dark mode option in the Settings app. Instead of relying on the wallpaper in order to trigger the dark mode, users can now decide whether to always use dark mode, light mode, or let the phone decide for itself.

4. Lockdown mode for extra security-

To improve the overall security, Google has added there is a new feature that locks down your device with the push of a button. When enabled, it lets you disable the fingerprint sensor or trusted voice unlock, reverting to your backup unlock methods such as a PIN or pattern.

5. Smart Text Selection –

Smart Text Selection option recognizes the meaning of the text you’re selecting and suggests relevant actions now works on the Overview of your recent apps, making it easier to perform the action you want.
