This Indian Cricket Player Announces Retirement On A Historic Day

Today is a historic day for the Indian Cricket team. India won the Natwest Series final against England,16 years ago, today. India chased a record 326 runs with 2 wickets in hand. Nobody could forget Sourav Ganguly taking off his shirt and waving it on the Lords’ balcony.

The player who was instrumental in that historic victory, Mohammad Kaif announced his retirement today.

He has penned down a heartfelt letter thanking his teammates and fans.

Kaif has played 125 ODIs and 13 Tests for India and have scored 2753 and 624 runs respectively. He will be most remembered for his brilliant catching and fielding.

His teammates wished bid him farewell from the game.
