President Ram Nath Kovind meets Indian Community in Cyprus

President Ram Nath Kovind meets the Indian community in Nicosia, Cyprus; says India is proud of its diaspora and their achievements. They are true cultural ambassadors of India and will deepen our ties with Cyprus.

On reaching Cyprus, President Kovind Tweeted: Happy to begin my visit to Cyprus, one of our closest and most steadfast partners in the international community. My delegation and I bring warm and friendly currents from the Indian Ocean to the waters of the Mediterranean. Looking forward to a productive visit. 

President Ram Nath Kovind has reached Cyprus on Sunday on the first leg of his three-nation visit to Cyprus, Bulgaria and Czech Republic. He was received by Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Cyprus at the airport.

In Cyprus, President will address an extraordinary session of the house of representatives and also deliver a lecture at the University of Cyprus. The visit to three European countries aims at further strengthening trade and business relations and improving people to people contact. Several MoUs are also expected to be inked during the visit.
