Mulk Trailer : This Intense Court Room Drama Underlines Every Muslim Isn’t ‘Anti-National’

The trailer of the much awaited ‘Mulk’ have just released. The movie promises to be an intense court room drama and will definitely give you goosebumps. The trailer clearly underlines that ‘Every Muslim isn’t Anti-National’.

The movie stars the vetern Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Rajat Kapoor, Kumud Misra, Ashutosh Rana, Neena Gupta, Manoj Pahwa and Prateik Babbar in pivotal roles.

Plot: 

The movie is said to be based on true events. It seems to be an amalgamation of the tragic events of 26/11 and Hindu-Muslim riots. Prateik Babbar plays the son of Rishi Kapoor (Murag Ali Mohammed) who is a suspect in a terror blast. The trailer shows the struggles of the family to prove their patriotism towards the land where they live. Taapsee Pannu plays the advocate, a Hindu woman, Aarti, married to a Muslim man.

The trailer has some hard-hitting dialogues by Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu. “Ye ghar mera bhi utna hi hai jitna aapka hai. Aur agar aap meri daadhi aur Osama Bin Laden ki daadhi mein fark nahi kar sakte to bhi mujhe haq hai meri sunnat nibhaane ka!” says Kapoor in court. Even Ashutosh Rana, who plays the agressive prosecution lawyer gets good lines.

The film is directed by Anubhav Sinha who has previously directed Tum Bin and Ra.One. The film is produced by Deepak Mukut and Anubhav Sinha. The film is slated to release on 3 August.

‘Mulk’ will face stiff competition at the Box-office. Irrfan Khan, Mithila Palkar and Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Karwaan’ and Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Fanney Khan’ are also scheduled to release on the same day.
