Abhishek Bachchan has returned to the silver screen after a hiatus of 2 years and he looks promising to say the least in Anurag Kashyap’s latest offering ‘Manmarziyaan’.
The film also stars Taapsee Pannu, who recently nailed it in her courtroom drama ‘Mulk’ and the ever reliable – Vicky Kaushal, who made everyone take notice in Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju.
‘Manmarziyaan’ looks like a fusion of two different brands of film-making. Anurag Kashyap, who is known for his gangster dramas and Anand L Rai, who is the producer of the film, known for his small town romantic comedies.
Plot :
The trailer begins with the couple- Vicky (Vicky Kaushal) and Rumi (Taapsee Pannu) madly in love with each other. Vicky is a carefree, responsibility-shirking, commitment phobic tatooed-man, on the other hand Rumi wants to settle in a marriage but Vicky’s isn’t ready to bring himself to discuss marriage with the parents of the girl he is sleeping with.There enters Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan) from abroad, chosen by the Rumi’s parents and the love story gets complicated.
Whom will Rumi marry? Will Vicky commit himself? Will Robbie get the girl? Anurag Kashyap will answer these questions in his way on 14 September 2018.
Amit Trivedi has scored the music and the film is written by Kanika Dhillon.
The movie is produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow films and Phantom Films.
