Salman Khan’s Eid 2019 release Bharat is in news since its announcement. Priyanka Chopra was confirmed to play the lead opposite Khan but she backed out of the film and it was confirmed by the Director Ali Abbas Zafar but there were reports of the producer Nikhil Namit calling Chopra “unprofessional” and that Salman Khan was upset of her but Salman’s father Salim Khan rubbished the rumours.

There were speculations that Kareena Kapoor or Jacqueline Fernandez might be roped in but the director have finally put all the speculations at rest. He has confirmed that Katrina Kaif will play the lead opposite Salman.
“I am extremely excited to work with Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan once again for Bharat. We have had exciting collaborations in the past and it is very interesting to work with the duo once again. Katrina got on board in the Nick of time for the project and it is very delightful to work with the immensely talented actress yet again,” said Zafar to PTI.
The trio has earlier worked in Tiger Zinda Hai which was a huge success at the box office.
‘Bharat’ also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Aasif Sheikh and Sunil Grover in important roles.
