Girls outshine boys in the Maharashta SSC exams, 89.41 % students clear exams

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education released Class 10 result 2018 today. A total of 89.41 per cent students have passed the Maharashtra SSC examination 2018. The scores were released online at around 1 pm.

There has been an increase of 0.67% in pass percentage as compared to 2017. Girls have again outshined the boys with a pass percentage of 91.17 while 87.27% boys have passed the exam.

The Konkan region has reported the highest pass percentage at 96% across the whole of Maharashtra. Kolhapur is ranked second with 93.88% pass percentage.The education capital Pune has reported a pass percentage of 92.08% while the state capital Mumbai has an overall pass percentage of 90.41%.

More than 2 lakh students have scored in the range of 80-90 percent while 1.4 lakh students have scored between 75-80 percent and another 1.6 lakh have scored between 70-75 percent each.

Also, 1,77,377 lakh students have scored in the range of 65-70 percent and around 2 lakh students have scored between 60-65 percent. Another 5,58,721 students have secured less than 60%.

Meanwhile, more than four thousand schools have got 100% pass percentage but 33 schools have reported zero or nil pass percentage.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education MSBSHSE had conducted the Maharashtra State Board SCC Class 10 exam 2018 from March 1 and March 24.

The Education Minister of Maharashtra Vinod Tawde congratulated the students.

For those who weren’t able to pass, Tawde said to not lose hope as supplementary exams will be conducted.
