Lagna Mubarak : Director Sanjay Jadhav’s Class Act
While he is not be the first director to break on to the silver screen as an actor — remember Dada Kondke, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Mahesh Kothare, et al — director Sanjay Jadhav, of Duniyadari fame, will soon be debuting as an actor in the New Year.
After making himself a household name in Maharashtra after the super-duper box office hit Duniyadari, the multi-talented director, he is also a talented cinematographer, in case you don’t know, will be seen in ‘Lagna Mubarak.’
As the title of the film hints, the story deals with a Muslim character and surprise, surprise, Jadhav will be playing a Muslim character, but the film’s story and more about Jadhav’s character is still wrapped in secrecy. Along with Sanjay Jadhav Prarthana Behere, Sanskruti Balgude, Sidhhant Mule playing a lead role for movie.
The film’s poster teases you with the tagline: Love Has No Boundaries.
For the uninitiated, Jadhav also wrote and produced the Zee Marathi serial ‘Dil Dosti Duniyadari‘ (wonder what connection Jadhav has with the word Duniyadari), and has also directed films like Checkmate, Guru, Tu Hi Re, Fakt Ladha Mhana, Ringa Ringa and Pyar Wali Love Story, all of them decent hits at the box office.
