J&K: Four terrorists killed in encounters

In Jammu and Kashmir, two JeM terrorists have been killed, and an army soldier sustained injuries, in a fierce gunfight in the Malmapanpora Warpora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore.

Earlier, a gunfight broke out between the terrorists and a joint team of forces following the launch of a cordon and search operation on the basis of specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area.

During another encounter in Shopian, two JeM terrorists have also been killed. The Body of a slain terrorist has been retrieved and identified as Zeenatul Islam. He was affiliated to the banned terror outfit JeM. He was involved in a series of terror attacks on security establishments & civilian killings.

Mobile internet services remain suspended in Shopian as a precautionary measure.
