The Indian team looked like the only team that showed up today, the Windies were no were to be seen. Chasing only 105, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli did it in style, in only 14.5 overs and 9 wickets in hand. India have won the 5 match ODI series 3-1 with the 2nd ODI drawn at Guwahati. This is India’s 8th straight ODI series win against the Windies.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Caribbean side showed no resilience to hang around and the batting lineup was demolished for a mere 104 in 31.5 overs, their lowest total against India.
Captain Jason Holder 25 (23) and Marlon Samuels 24 (38) were only notable contributions. All other players made only single digit scores.
For India, Ravindra Jadeja picked up the most – 4 wickets for 34 runs. Khaleel Ahmed and Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets each. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav picked up a wicket each.

The Indian team chased down the target in only 14.5 overs. Rohit Sharma top scoring with 63 runs of 56 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes, followed by skipper Virat Kohli 33 (29) including 6 fours. Dhawan departed early. He made 6 (5).

Ravindra Jadeja has been awarded the Man of the Match for his bowling figures of 4-34 (9.5)
Virat Kohli received the Man of the Series for his massive 453 runs in 5 matches. It is the highest for India and 3rd highest over all in a 5 match bilateral ODI series.
This win by 211 balls is India’s 2nd biggest win by balls to spare. Biggest being by 231 balls against Kenya in 2001.
MS Dhoni needed just 1 run to complete his 10,000 ODI runs but looks like he’ll have to wait for Australia.
