There is one “glaring mistake” in a West Bengal school textbook. Instead of using the picture of the “Flying Sikh” Milkha Singh, the picture of Farhan Akthar – the actor who played Milkha Singh in the 2013 biopic “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” is used.
After getting to know about this, Actor, Producer and Director Farhan Akthar tweeted to the Minister of Education in West Bengal. He pointed the error and asked whether the book could be republished.
To the Minister of School Education, West Bengal.
There is a glaring error with the image used in one of the school text books to depict Milkha Singh-ji. Could you please request the publisher to recall and replace this book?

Leader of the ruling Trinamool Congress Party, Derek O’Brien was quick to respond. He said he would immediately look into it.
On it. Thanks for the feedback.
