Every ‘Game of Thrones’ fan is waiting in bated breath for the eighth and the final season to air. How will John Snow (Rhaegar Targaryen) and Daenerys defeat the Night King- who has a dragon that breaths ice now ? Will Arya Stark avenge her father by killing Cersei Lannister ? and finally who will sit on the much dreaded Iron Throne ? The answers to these questions are going to be revealed soon.
HBO president Casey Bloys , at a Television Critics Association event said that the much-awaited eighth and final season of the HBO series Game of Thrones will be aired in the first half of 2019. The shooting has been done with, post production and special effects is currently in process. The show would probably air sometime in March or April.
When asked, How is the final season ? “It’s pretty great,” Bloys said.
The final season is going to have 6 episodes but Bloys have dismissed any possibility of two hour long episodes.

Last month, HBO has greenlit four prequels to Game of Thrones one of which will be set 10,000 years before the events featured in Game of Thrones. The production is to begin next year.
