The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that the party President Amit Shah hasn’t made any statement on the issue of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya when he was speaking in Hyderabad yesterday.
“Yesterday in Telangana, BJP President Amit Shah did not make any statement on the issue of Ram mandir as being claimed in certain sections of the media. No such matter was even on the agenda,” the BJP said in a tweet.

However contrary to this, NR Rao, a BJP MLC, told ANI that during the meeting Shah said the BJP is committed to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya and that the matter is sub judice. According to ANI, Rao said that Shah wants Ram temple to be made and hopefully the process will begin before 2019 polls.

The Supreme Court will resume the hearing of the contentious Babri Masjid-Ram Temple land temple dispute case on July 20.
